MRS SMITH
On a cold January morning in 1945, the Smith Family are woken by the sound of sirens in an air raid. The eldest brother, his wife and young son, sister-in-law, baby nephew, mother and the lodging air raid warden are all co-existing under one roof. Faced with the anxiety of the youngest brother missing in action, supporting his worried girlfriend and life under the looming reality of war, this family rely on laughter, hard work and a good cup of tea in order to keep going.
This true story explores the domestic experience of World War Two, the prejudices, struggles and joys of every day and what it means to be a hero.
